European Social Science History Conference

The ESSHC 2010 will take place in Ghent, Belgium at the Bijloke Site, from Tuesday 13 April up to and including Friday 16 April 2010. (Conference desk will open on Monday afternoon, April 12)

The conference

ESSHC The ESSHC aims at bringing together scholars interested in explaining historical phenomena using the methods of the social sciences. The conference is characterized by a lively exchange in many small groups, rather than by formal plenary sessions. The conference is organized in a large number of networks which cover a variety of topics. It welcomes papers and sessions on any topic and any historical period. Organization
The European Social Science History Conference is organized by the International Institute of Social History (IISH), an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts & Sciences. Information on the IISH is available from its website at http://www.iisg.nl.
